Today’s song is “Watermelon” by Adam Rehmeier and Emily Skeggs. The track is an original song featured in the movie Dinner in America. I found the movie while scrolling for something to watch this weekend and was so glad I got the chance to see this gem.

Described by lead actress Emily Skeggs as “a renegade love story about two misfits who find each other and themselves through music” this flick will appeal to music enthusiasts and fans of films like Napoleon Dynamite and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

“Watermelon” was co-written by Rehmeier and Skeggs on-set before they started shooting. In the movie, it is at the pivotal point where the climax of their love for one another is evident. Which makes the song even more captivating and heartwarming (see the clip from the movie below).

This song has been in my head all weekend and I”m just loving it! Under two minutes but it has this earwormy delightful rock and pop melodies that you want to listen to over and over.

Listen below and get the song on Amazon. Dinner In America is available for purchase or to stream on Amazon Prime and Hulu.
