This month K. Flay dropped a video for her track “Nothing Can Kill Us.” The song is off her latest EP Outside Voices out now. This is the follow-up to her June EP Inside Voices.
The video features K. Flay waking up in bed and taking some “Memoria Pills” so she get back to the memories that she misses. As she falls asleep she wakes up in another dimension in the back of a pickup truck Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Eve Harlow is in the front seat driving.
It continues with clips of a happy road trip with the two laughing and talking. Then she wakes up back in the bedroom. Wanting to get back to the good times you continue to see her take more and more pills so she can get back to her old memories. Until she has no more pills and is left without her memories to comfort her. The end visual is her with a trail of glitter tears down her face.
The video compliments the dreamy ethereal feel of the track. Its combination of electronic synths and intense rock beats make for a killer anthem of hope even in times of despair.
