Today’s song is “Broken Asunder” by Drew Reilly. Hailing from Ocean County, NJ this singer/songwriter has been playing music for quite some time. He has been in a number of bands and written dozen of songs since the mid 2000s.
You may know him from the Osbornsville, NJ band Martian. Reilly is now a solo act that features upbeat melodies and handclapping choruses. This track reminds me a bit of a Weezer with uniquely appealing vocals, harmonies, and rocking guitar licks.
Reilly has a feel-good vibe that emerges with the first few notes of this track. It is the perfect song to spring us into the new season. The single is off his upcoming album Tohubohu due out this summer on July 15th.
