Today’s song is “Let You In” by STARVEYA. The Los Angeles group is comprised of Aaron Martinez (lead vocals and guitar), Desi Martinez (guitar and backing vocals), and Kenny Lockwood (drums).
Pronounced stahr-vey-uh, the trio takes their name from the word meaning a continuing cycle in which one star carries out its path in the sky only to be replaced by a new star and image originating from a celestial body that no longer exists but can still be seen from a distance of light-years.
The group came together at the turn of the millennium with a fusion that will rock your world. Their music merges 1960’s classic studio recordings with the heavy ’90s grunge for a slick interstellar sound that will rock your world
This post-summer single is the latest track from the group. It opens with a heavy and somber ambient rhythms that evoke an enticing melancholy that you won’t forget.
The band describes it as “sort of an anti-love song, it is loosely about love and relationships. Not so much about a love lost as it is about a love that never was. Or never was what you thought it to be or dreamt it to be.”
STARVEYA is currently in the studio working on their upcoming, full-length album Abandon All Muses, due out 2021.
