ESBMusic’s Coachella Picks

This year’s Coachella Looks A-MAAAzing. We are pumped for the line up and wanted to share our thoughts on the what are some bands you should be checking out this year.

Here are out picks for what to see at the show. Some of the bands we have seen and some we like their sound and want to check them live.

FRIDAY
The Weekend: From the first time I heard that song “Can’t Feel My Face” I was instantly hooked on his grooves. This is a headliner not to miss.

The Buttertones: This Los Angeles band has a feel good surf rock that is sure not to be missed.

The Neighbourhood: We featured this group back in 2012 and caught them live at Mercury Lounge in 2013. The band is a slick sound with amazing vocals. The live performance is not to be missed!

Bleachers: I was not sure I would be down with the poppy vibe of the NJ band but after attending their acoustic show at the Stone Pony last summer I was hooked on their music. The plugged in sound is just as entertaining.

Cash Cash: This NJ based band is a treat live. We caught the tail end of the band’s performance back in 2018 when they opened for Metro Station. Their electro-pop is a great addition to the dessert festival.

SATURDAY
Beyonce: I’ve never seen the R&B queen but I have heard good things and would like to see her fierce live performance.

Haim: We have been in love with Haim ever since we here their 2012 track “Forever.” We loved it so much we featured it as Song of the Day. It’s been great to see them take off over the years.

Chromeo: This electronic duo puts on a great show. I saw them back in 2008 at Terminal Five and they rocked the house.

Big Thief: Haven’t seen this band, but they sound pretty sweet!

SUNDAY
Eminem: I remember when Eminem first came out on the scene back in the early 2000’s my sister told me about him after seeing him on the TV music jukebox channel The Box. They played “My Name Is” video and we were intrigued with this white rapper who was pretty funny.

Portugal The Man: I had the pleasure of seeing this band in 2011 at CMJ and they were really great.

A Perfect Circle: I never got to see this band in the 90’s since I was just a young kid so I would love to check out their live performance.
