The venue once known for being a dance club was once again bumping when Chromeo came to Terminal 5 Friday night. While the space inside was freezing, the heat was soon turned up as each band took the stage.
First up was the The Suzan, the all girl Japanese group. They played a fun medley of music incorporating a borage of sounds. Everything a Caribbean drum to keyboards and synth. At first I was kind of confused by the bird sounds in their songs, but as they played on they delighted and enchanted the audience with their
Next was the adorably, fun MNDR. She took the stage and everyone was thrilled. With just a mike and a computer this California girl blew the roof off the house with her techno pop.
It was well into the night when Chromeo took the stage. I felt like I was back in time into an 80’s movie with their synth, dance, pop. It was exciting. The venue turned into a huge club with everyone jumping and dancing. Aside from the wasted couple who kept falling on everyone, it was a really great show.
