Song of the Day: “The Master” by The Black Atlas

Today’s song is “The Master” by The Black Atlas. After having lent his drumming skills to various touring artists and appearances at Warped Tour with Testing for Echo, The Black Atlas was formed by Koronios’ independent vision in 2013.

Drawing on the heaviness of Dredg and Queens of the Stone Age, vocal baritone of The National and ethereal qualities of Pink Floyd, The Black Atlas has released two EP’s, The Other and Devils.

This is the latest track from the dark/alt rocker’s new EP, Equinox, which can out last week.

The Black Atlas will be playing Mercury Lounge in NYC on the 24th of May in support of his latest release.

*Dark alt-rock act, The Black Atlas will be performing at Mercury Lounge on May 24th. He just released his new EP, Equinox, the final installment of a series of EPs. “New York City’s The Black Atlas deals in a type of metal that could sit comfortably between legendary bands like Isis and Neurosis, or contemporaries like O’Brother.” (Substream Magazine)
