Today’s song is West Coast” by Step Rockets. The Minneapolis, Minnesota band is comprised of Anthony Schulz, Brady Lillie, Johnny Syn, and Joshua Schmidt (aka Josh Von Mink).
This is the latest single from the band’s upcoming EP entitled Future Nature, due out April 8th via Harbour / Caroline Records.
Step Rockets have a cooland inviting sound. The instrumental rhythms merge with drum and synth beats for a delicate blend of pop and indie melodies to create a sick sound. The vocals of pair perfectly with the music to create a picturesque image of Los Angeles. I can imagine someone blasting this song driving down the Pacific Coast Highway . They remind me of Cold War Kids meets Maroon Five.
