Manhattan, New York: Big Picture Media, a full service public relations and digital marketing agency has called New York City home since the launch of the company in 2007. After six successful years, the company will expand to open two new offices in 2013, one in Los Angeles and one in Philadelphia, while continuing to keep the original Manhattan office located in the Flatiron District.
Big Picture Media was founded by New York native, Dayna Ghiraldi. Dayna moved to Manhattan after receiving her Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from C.W. Post University and interning at Walt Disney World, Island Records and Nettwerk Management. In 2007, Dayna decided to take a chance on a childhood dream and open her own company with nothing more than a laptop and a cell phone. Six years later, Dayna runs and operates all facets of Big Picture Media, where 13 hard working people fill the bustling and vibrant NYC office. She has had the pleasure to work closely with some of her favorite bands such as The Used, Thrice, All Time Low, City and Colour, Circa Survive, Sleeping With Sirens, The Wonder Years, Never Shout Never, We Are The In Crowd, There For Tomorrow, The Summer Set, The Cab, The Maine, ITCH, Peter Gabriel, The Eagles and more. Dayna will take her love for all things music, events, non-profit, film and more and plant roots in California to start the Los Angeles office.
Big Picture Media’s Senior Executive Publicist, Rachel Miller, will be returning to the city of her Alma Mater to open the Philadelphia branch of the company. Rachel has been with Big Picture Media since 2009 and has successfully worked on campaigns for clients such as Carolina Liar, Satellite and Drexel University’s own Making Moves campaign featuring Motion City Soundtrack, and many more. Graduating from Drexel University’s Music Industry program, with a minor in Business, Rachel received experience in various different aspects of the industry such as public relations, booking, marketing and promotions, international licensing, and management. After packing her bags and moving to the big city, it wasn’t long after meeting Dayna that she found her love and passion for PR at Big Picture Media. After four+ years, Rachel will be returning to the City of Brotherly Love to expand the BPM name and take the music scene in the Philadelphia tri-state area by storm.
Big Picture Media’s roster is diverse, genre blending and always exciting. From nuts and bolts event publicity for five annual Village Voice events to the five-day NYC based music festival CMJ Music Marathon, to representing the NY Film Commissioner and the NY Loves Film event at the Sundance Film Festival to six years of BPM hosting a showcase at SXSW Music Festival, the company continues to thrive within the ever-changing industry. Big Picture Media continues to also work with non-profit organizations such as To Write Love on Her Arms and Only Make Believe and also represents the film industry titles published by literary giant Taylor & Francis. We are currently working on the DVD release from The Eagles and gearing up for the soundtrack release of one of the summer’s hottest upcoming blockbuster releases, the animated film Turbo by Dreamworks and Relativity Media. BPM will be handling the publicity and digital marketing for the soundtrack featuring Snoop Dogg, and recently completed successful campaigns for the soundtracks of The Croods, Safe Haven, Promised Land, ParaNorman and more.
In 2012, Big Picture Media opened a new branch of the company focusing on Digital Marketing and Social Media Management, spearheaded by Lisa Garelick, who will join Dayna in the launching of BPM Los Angeles. Since opening the Marketing arm of the company, Lisa has worked on successful campaigns for clients such as SideOne Dummy Records, Comedian Ron White, Relativity Music Soundtracks and more. Publicist Erika Clark will also be joining BPM Los Angeles along with General Manager, Paul Travers.
Big Picture Media’s most recent adventure was producing a feature length horror film in December of 2012 called OLD 37, starring Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley and Brandi Cyrus. Written and produced by Big Picture Media’s General Manager Paul Travers along with one of the producing partners Dayna Ghiraldi, the film is currently in postproduction and will see a 2014 release date.
Two of Big Picture Media star senior publicists, Amber Crisci and Becky Sahm, will continue to stay in New York running the Manhattan office along with the most recent publicist to join the BPM team, Shoshana Aborn.
