Today’s song is “Instrument of My Release” by Eamon McGrath. The 23-year-old singer has a culmination of genres. You could call him a folk singer, but he has a diverse musical styles ranging from bombastic, punk-inspired barnburners to quiet, intimate country music best fit for a Western saloon. He has accomplished a lot for someone of such a young age with two dozen albums worth of material, countless Canadian, UK, and European tours, and a stint in Daniel Johnston’s backing band. This song is off his full-length Young Canadians which came out earlier this month.
