Today’s song is “Time Goes” by Mombi. Mombi is the songwriting duo of Kael Smith (guitar, vocals, percussion) and Matt Herron (keys/percussion). This track is the latest single off their album The Wounded Beat which was recorded and mixed by Keith Kenniff of Helios, Goldmund etc. The lyrics to “Time Goes” have interesting and familiar origins for the band. “The lyrics contain portions of a poem written by Kael’s grandfather Lynn Vanlandingham which appeared in a book he published in 1972 called ‘Alone I Wait.’ The song is essentially a collaboration between two different generations,” says Herron.
