While most times people don’t come out early to see an opening band, you won’t know what you’ll be missing out on. This was the case Friday night at Arlene’s Grocery. The house was a bit empty but it was a cozy and warm atmosphere when the New England band, The Gallery took the stage.
Amidst a red backdrop the quartet started with “Catalyst,” the first track off their EP Come Alive. Immediately, the room was filled with a wave of ferocious excitement fueled by their high octane rock. They filled their set with all the songs on their recent EP “Last Goodbye,” Who’s in the Right,” “Free,” and “Ballroom of Broken Hearts.”
Due to a GPS malfunction they had arrived with only 15 minutes before they had to hit the stage. Even with a limited time they jumped right in. They shined through with a magnitude of professionalism and musical flair. The Gallery is a band with a Americana rock appeal through their versatile musical stylings. They produce catchy hooks along with haunting melodies and thought provoking lyricism.
The Gallery finished with an older song “Life Is Strange.” While their set was short, it was very memorable and you can see the amazing talent that this quartet possesses that will take them a long way.
