They are a quartet from New Hampshire. The sound is folk-rock. I can’t speak to their stage presence because I have never seen them perform live. Although listening to their latest EP Friends and Demons kind of deters me from ever wanting to watch them live. I’ve been running into that quite frequently as of late. The bands would either have really solid instrumentals or strong vocals. Even when they do great with both, they don’t always mesh well together. With Zack Howland & The Shine, they fall under the latter: Zack heads the band well with a sexy raspy voice, but I’d probably get a better feel of a song if I just listened to it acoustic. They are a band with great potential, but they are far from commanding attention from audiences that adored elite influences such as Bob Dylan and Bright Eyes.
