Nick and Nora's… Infinite Disappointment

This movie Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist was “meh”… neither good nor bad. If you are looking for a comedy all you need to do is watch the previews. But if you want underdeveloped cliche characters in a cutesy love story then here you go. Nick (played by Michael Cera) is the same character as in Juno , but at least he’s good at playing that awkward semi-funny relate-able dude. Nora (Kat Dennings) is the intriguing “almost heroine” with nice lips but she is ultimately flawed when she barely stands up for herself throughout the film. Nick’s friends Thom (Aaron Yoo) and Dev (Rafi Gavron) are stereotypically gay, and his ex-girlfriend Tris (Alexis Dziena) is over the top predictable. Nora’s bestfriend Caroline (Ari Graynor), is just pure annoying and unbearable to watch. Besides that, the music and NY street-scape are cool. The scenes compelled me to get two hotdogs (ketchup & mustard) outside of Penn station after the movie. Oh and there are a couple of “ewww” moments that are memorable. Bottom line…. wait till it comes out on DVD if you really want to see it, but if your in high-school you may love it!
