Today’s song is “How Dare You (Featuring Illia Bondarenko”) by Conversing with Oceans. This is the latest track from the Bronx band.
According to lead singer Alex Bondarev, this song features Ukrainian violinist Illia Bondarenko and is a tribute to his Ukrainian family living through the atrocities of war with Russia.
It was born out of a collaboration with Illia Bondarenko, who performed in a bomb shelter in Kyiv. We’re raising support for Ukraine, for humanitarian relief Doctors Without Borders, and for “Life Without War”, a grassroots project helping with necessities for the country’s children through art therapy.
Like other tracks before, Conversing with Oceans has created a beautiful ballad. This is a hauntingly mesmerizing track filled with electronic and vibrant piano and string melodies that will fill you with emotion and sorrow.
