Today’s song is “Walls of Pain” by The Offspring. This is the latest track from the Orange County Band.
The song excites and enchants with its hard-hitting crescendos from guitars and drums. It has a sound that is a mix of lightness but also rocks hard. This track will also delight fans with its opening guitars that are reminiscent of that Offspring sound.
According to Guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman the song is about the struggle of helping someone who feels lost and alone.
“‘Behind Your Walls‘ is about trying to reach somebody who is feeling isolated, alone, or depressed. How do you reach out and get through the emotional chasm that exists? Sometimes it feels impossible to grab a hold of that person and pull them back to ‘safety,’ emotionally and mentally. The song is about that struggle.”
If you’re into acoustic music this song also has a stripped-down version that is streaming on Amazon.
The band is currently on tour in support of their latest release, Let the Bad Times Roll which this track can be found on. It is available now via Concord Records. New Jersey Fans can see them this Thursday, May 12th in Asbury Park at the Stone Pony Summer Stage.
