Today’s song is “La La La” by Dev Marvelous. Dev Marvelous also known as Devon Moore is the Louisville, Kentucky-based producer, singer-songwriter, and pianist creating soothing soulful sounds.
This is one of the tracks that Moore covered as part of the LA band’s collection. Singer Inara George of The Bird and The Bee was so honored by the track that she asked him if she could put out these tracks as part of her Road Angel Project charity series.
Dev obliged and what resulted is the Road Angel Project Presents: Dev Marvelous X The Bird and The Bee. It is the sixth volume in George’s ongoing charity series in partnership and benefiting the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund’s COVID-19 fund.
The track has been called a “mesmerizing, colorful immersion of upbeat melodies and hot funk sounds” that comprise his “compelling spin on The Bird and The Bee’s original, first released on their self-titled debut album in 2007.” The track is available now via Release Me Records.
