Today’s song is “Pirouette” by 1st Base Runner. This is the latest track from the Austin, Texas indie/electronic artist Tim Husmann.

This is the second single released off the upcoming full-length album Seven Years of Silence, due out April 8th. Like his music before it has a light and dark essence to it. Melancholy melodies are paired with uplifting lyrics to overcome problems and find the strength to get through. About the song Husmann says,

“This song is about trying to find your way again. It’s about the struggles we all experience in life and a need to find the strength to overcome them. It explores ideas of directionality in a world that often provides none.”

His music will appeal to fans of the gothic and avant-garde. His airy cosmic synthesis will appeal to fans of Trent Reznor and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
