Today’s song is “Girls” by Erich Mrak. The Toronto by way of Ottawa based pop/hip hop artist has been honing his craft from early on. Writing lyrics at the tender age of seven then going on to record his first full song at 13. From there he continued to practice and refine his sound.

Recently amassing over 400,000 streams collectively on various singles, and completing his album, Glimpse, Erich shows no signs of slowing down. Outside of the album, Erich’s most recent achievements lie in the practice of piano since the start of the quarantine. Erich has been recording live performance covers in his living room, intending to release them between single releases over the next few months.

This track is off his album Glimpse. Like his other music, this track is influenced by where he’s been and where he currently is. Taking cues from artists like Post Malone and Tame Impala and The 1975 and creates a fun dance explosion that is part pop, part hip-hop, and topped with a relatable message of heartbreak that never sounded so good.
