The East Village NYC punk rocker gets a remix by New Jersey’s electronic music innovator Grapefruit Sound Lab.
Grapefruit Sound Lab is run by New York native Robert Cotnoir. With influences ranging from quintessential freestyle, electro, and house, to classic rock, and back again through the classical repertoire, Cotnoir has seamlessly honed a sound that is at once both comforting and familiar, all while being undoubtedly of the times.
Gina Volpe is a singer, songwriter, and visual artist best known from the band she started back in high school. The legendary NYC punk outfit, Lunachicks.
Since the release of her 2017 debut solo EP Different Animal, Volpe has firmly established her self as a solo artist. “Shine” is a single off this album.
Since dropping this album Volpe has released six-monthly singles in a project entitled, Winter To Spring. Each single features its own story, style, and mood that showcases her unmistakably signature sound.
