Today’s song is “Satisfy Me” by UNFITS.
The rising Los Angeles artist has been turning heads with this feel-good track.
During his teenage years, the band’s frontman found purpose in music, teaching himself a variety of instruments and ultimately becoming a songwriter for rap icons like Royce da 59 and Wu-Tang Clans RZA. He caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Emile Haynie (Kanye West, Lana Del Rey).
“Satisfy Me” is their first collaboration and it is garnering some major attention.
It quickly gained more than 1.2 million streams. Drawing on their background in skydiving and extreme sports, the band shot a Matrix-meets-Blade Runner music video music for “Satisfy Me” in 7 countries around the world with a collection of 11 friends and influencers, boasting a combined 18 million followers. The band is also very involved with fashion and style and will be releasing their own clothing line this year, blending a dark, dystopian air with high fashion and what they call “apocalyptic futurism.”
The band has been on a wild trajectory over the past few months, amassing 240k+ Instagram followers thanks to the success of their first single “Satisfy Me.”
This track has an alluring sound that is powered by progressive house beats against an indie rock and R&B swagger.
