Song of the Day: “Forgive Me ft. Nate VanDeusen” by Prometheus

Today’s song is “Forgive Me ft. Nate VanDeusen” by Prometheus. Raised in the suburbs of Northern New Jersey. Prometheus grew up on MTV and BET music channels along with his parents love of pop and R&B music. His mom would play R. Kelly and Toni Braxton, while his father’s go to was Sade and Luther Vandross on heavy rotation.

These sound influences of Pop and R&B growing up gave way to me becoming the singer-songwriter that I am today. It was my time in high school that I finally was able to write my very first song, it was called “Telephone.”

Since then, he’s been writing songs in journals ever since. It was only after he decided to suddenly move to Albany, New York that he finally decided to actually record the songs in the studio.

Prometheus fuses indie pop melodies with R&B tunes for a sound that is kicking high energy. This music will pump up your Monday morning.
