Today’s song is “My Name” by Teddy Edwards. The singer-songwriter born and raised in New York City has been involved in music for as long as he can remember.

Starting with piano lessons at age four, guitar at eight and songwriting at nine, Edwards has finally made his official entrance into the industry with his debut single “My Name.”

Teddy Edwards’ new track has been a longtime in the making, working with mentors like Phredley Brown (Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez) and George Pajon Jr (Black Eyed Peas), and gathering inspiration from personal experiences.

This is the first track off his upcoming debut EP in 2017. The project, written by Edwards who also has production credits as well, will be filled with the singer’s signature soul. Known for writing vulnerable, honest, and relatable tracks, Edwards incorporates raw emotion into every song – “My music reflects my reality. It’s a way for people to see who I really am.”

This song showcases his multi-instrumentational talents as well as his smooth vocals. He reminds me of Bruno Mars meets Maroon 5. His sharp production is sure to win the hearts of mainstream media.
