Song of the Day: “Recall” by The Money War

Today’s song is “Recall” by The Money War.  The Perth, Australian based band is composed of Dylan Ollivierre (Rainy Day Women) and Carmen Pepper (Warning Birds).

“Recall” is the second single from the duo and was produced by Dylan who explains the song was written while he and Carmen were traveling in America.

” ‘Recall’ is about being tired of repetition. When we went traveling in the US I remembered all of the things I love about Perth, I just needed a change to remind me. It kind of felt like another part of the soundtrack of the road trip, written during a writing burst where I wrote 5 songs in a day. I wanted the sound to be that overblown production style, juxtaposed with beautiful melodies – I wanted the track to be dramatic and move through different moods.”

It’s got a sick bass and catchy hooks that will keep you rockin’ out.
