Today’s song is “Ain’t Too Late For Memphis” by Kenny Dubman.
This is the lead track off the New Jersey guitarist and songwriter Kenny Dubman’s debut, solo release. The LP entitled Reckless Abandon premiered on the iconic Guitar World and is out now.
When asked about the track Dubman calls it a “comeback anthem.” Kenny Dubman says, “It’s the story of a musician that’s been out of the game for a long while and longs to break back in, but is not quite sure about how to make it happen….yes, it’s a bit autobiographic! ‘Memphis’ is really just a metaphor for getting off your ass and jumping in with both feet, which is definitely the route I took to make the album. Wrote the songs, rehearsed the band, and got in the studio as quickly as I could. Full steam ahead with reckless abandon, literally and figuratively!”
His rhythmic country and soul will spark your interest the first notes of his guitar driven ballad.
