This song is off their album Something Got Lost Between Here and the Orbit set to release this Friday, September 16th via Nevado Music. The album is available for pre-order.
This is the follow up to their sophomore album Today We’re Believers in 2013. The past three years saw the band playing 200 shows, sharing the stage with Alt J and Bombay Bicycle Club and major festival appearances including and Bonaroo, Iceland Airwaves, and Osheaga. The hard work paid off: Today We’re Believers received critical acclaim, was nominated for Alternative Album of the Year at the Junos, and won Best Independent Album at Western Canadian Music Awards.
When I first heard this song I was instantly taken with its hypnotic popping hip hop rhythms and vocals. It has a swaying cool essence that is effortlessly put down.
The band will be hitting the road in support of the album on September 18th. They will kick off the tour in Bozeman, Montana at The Filling Station with stops in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York to name a few. Next year they will be going overseas for some European shows (see dates below).
