Today’s song is “Simple Pleasures” by Wicked Man. The Oakland-based group is comprised of Yonatan Tietz (vocals/guitar), Justin Kohlberg (guitar, bass), Andrew Kunz (keyboards, vocals), and Max Denny (drums).
The California quartet invokes the likes of the Allman Brothers meets the Grateful Dead with a sexy, folksy psychedelic electronic trance. The music is only further surpassed by Tietz’s salacious vocals which create a mysterious atmosphere for the listener to fully enjoy.
This song is off their latest EP Terranean Tremors out now. The EP has been praised by numerous musical outlets and you can hear why.

(Brooklyn, NY) Following a busy year of touring all over the west coast,
Oakland-based folktronic band Wicked Man are readying the release of their
new EP, Terranean Tremors, out November 6th, 2015. The four piece
consisting of Yonatan Tietz (vocals/guitar), Justin Kohlberg (guitar,
bass), Andrew Kunz (keyboards, vocals) and Max Denny (drums), will also
continue their busy show schedule with dates lined up covering major cities
in Northern California.
“Scattered throughout Wicked Man’s latest EP *Terranean Tremors* are
varying experimental sounds and rhythms, from the glacial synth of “Soil
Leaking Water” to the intricate plucking of “Belly Ache.” Stretching the
limits of folk, the Oakland-based band is made distinct by Yonatan Tietz’s
vocals, sometimes growling and buzzy, sometimes a whisper, and often
endearingly wavering.”
