Today’s song is “Chemicals” by Captiva. The Kansas City, Missouri foursome is comprised of JJ Ries (vocals, guitar), Pat McQuaid (guitar, vocals), Nick Riffle (bass), and Hank Wiedel (drums).
This alternative rock band has an easy breezy summer feeling. Their music is part jam band, part indie rock. The soothing sway of the guitars is further complemented by the sexy vocals of Ries. This song is off the band’s debut self-titled EP which came out last December. The band will be playing a few shows this month with The Expendables in Colorado and a show in Montana on January 21st (see dates below). The band also plans to head back to the studio in January to re-master their debut album Basement Creations
