Song of the Day: “Love Won’t Make You Cry” by Bitter’s Kiss

Today’s song is “Love Won’t Make You Cry” by Bitter’s Kiss. This Weehawken, NJ singer/songwriter is back with a new infectious single showcasing the talents of Chloe Baker.

Baker grew up in a home filled with music, with a father who maintained a studio, a guitar collection and a band, and has been active in musical theater for years. Chloe currently attends High Tech, an arts academy in North Bergen, NJ. She has been serious about writing music for around a year, and has worked with her father to record and produce her music over the past several months.

Talent knows no age and this is the case with Bitter’s Kiss. Her vocal prowess is only surpassed by her song writing abilities. Taking influences from Regina Spektor, Carole King, Sixpence None the Richer, and Sarah McLachlan Baker has crafted created music the is thoughtful, emotive, and beautiful. This song is off her self-titled out which came out early in 2015. She is a songstress who should be on your playlist.

The video for the single recently premiered on the NJ blog Speak Into My Good Eye. The song is further heightened by the video’s iconic Paris settings and the class dramatic unfolding of two star crossed lovers.
