Today’s song is “Too Late” by Louise Aubrie. The London born singer-song writer spends most her time between her hometown and New York City. Aubrie first started recording music at the famed Mill Hill Music Complex in London. Later she went on to spend many years in New York surrounding herself with the best musicians in the city in order to craft her talent.
This is track is off her upcoming third album Late 44 which will be released on July 13. The album was recorded in March 2015 at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, England. Further recording and mixing was at Knight Time Studios, the studio originally commissioned by Steve Lillywhite. Late 44 features Tom Edwards (Adam Ant), Joe Holweger, David Ruffy (The Ruts, Adam Ant, Dexy’s Midnight Runners) and Boz Boorer (Morrissey, The Polecats). It was produced and mixed by James Knight (The Kooks, Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding). It was mastered by Denis Blackham at Skye Mastering.
Aubrie is a talented and distinguishable songstress. Aubrie has the sensuality of Blondie with a tinge of Pink’s pop and The Smiths rock. Her music culminates a sound that is part bubbly pop melodies with a badass punk rock flavor showing her to be a sassy rock chick.
