Pop/rock/soul duo Nalani & Sarina announce the release of their brand new EP, Scattered World. Identical twin sisters Nalani & Sarina Bolton’s music crosses over numerous genres. In addition to writing all the tracks on Scattered World, the classically trained musicians show off their skills by playing piano, guitar and ukulele on the album. They developed a deep appreciation for 60’s soul music and strive to emulate that raw emotion in their own music. Influences include Sam & Dave, Carole King, Taylor Swift and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Scattered World features notable guitarist Oscar Rodriguez from A Great Big World. Nalani & Sarina’s first full length album, Lessons Learned, featured musicians, Will Lee (bassist for The Late Show with David Letterman house band), Tommy Mandel (keys for Bryan Adams) and Tom ‘Bones’ Malone (The Late Show with David Letterman house band). Popdose stated “the sisters out Prince Prince with their sexy, fresh, sonically-tight, new power soul throwdown.” They have also opened for prominent artists including Howie Day and Kate Voegle. Additionally, Nalani & Sarina have been featured on SiriusXM’s “Kick Out In The Jams,” hosted by legendary music critic Dave Marsh, who said of them, “to see and hear them now, it’s hard to believe they might not always be this cute and fresh, but listen to their music a bit closer and you’ll realize they won’t have to be.” Stay tuned for more Nalani & Sarina!
The album is streaming now on The Vinyl District. For more information on the girls check out their official website and listen to the album here!
