IMG_1337.JPG
Today’s song is “Abduction” by Direct Divide. The Seattle, Washington band is comprised of Razz (violin/vocals), Kevin Proctor (guitar/keyboards), and Valdemar Huguet (drums).
This song is off the band’s upcoming release out later this year. Head songwriters Razz and Kevin Proctor have been composing and recording together since 2011. Guitarist Proctor generates ideas at a prodigious rate, while front-woman Razz puts the emotions of the music into words, melody, and harmony. Drummer Valdema Huguet adds energy and attitude. Direct Divide combines the best of rock and classical music with their infusion of violin, cello, and piano. This trio has a pitch perfect sound that fuses beautiful classical melodies with high voltage, rock that will entice listeners of bands like Muse, A Perfect Circle, 30 Seconds to Mars, Silversun Pickups, Coheed and Cambria. The band has been touring heavily in support of this track. Additionally, the band will be heading out on a full 33 date national U.S. tour starting today, September 18th in support of this new song (see dates below).
