Today’s song is “Not A Sound (feat. Mariano Scopel)” by Leonino. Leonino better known as Jorge Gonzalez, was formerly the vocalist of Los Prisioneros, the most iconic Chilean rock band ever and front-runners of a new musical resistance to Pinochet’s dictatorship. In the mid 80’s Jorge Gonzalez became the voice for an entire generation of oppressed youth, reaching fame throughout Latin America. After the first four albums González ventured off to start a solo career. Between his solo work and Los Prisioneros, he has sold over 2 million records.

Jorge González is now back again as Leonino, with an intimate set of new songs due September 15 through Hueso Records. This song if off his upcoming album entitled Naked Tunes which will be released on September 15, 2014. “Not That Sound” is track intimate and appealing piece that features beautiful strings, guitars, and piano melodies. Gonzalez shows he is not a force to be reckoned as he sings “I am not that sound, I am that thunder.”
