Who are They? At the age of thirteen, Juliette Jules bought her first and only guitar, a Fender acoustic, which she paid for by selling one of her paintings. She needed a musical outlet and the acoustic was the platform for her unique and highly emotive vocal style. Her songs lyrically cover loss, love, and the importance of family and friends. Just a teenager, Juliette Jules is a musical talent that is not only an incredible discovery for the listener but also is reminiscent of an era that began with the great and influential singers songwriters and storytellers of the late 60’s and 70’s. She discovered artists like Leonard Cohen, Marianne Faithfull, and Patti Smith through attending concerts with her mother and by assembling an eclectic and diverse collection of old rock and jazz vinyl albums. Because of these diverse influences, Juliette Jules is able to speak directly to her young audience and at the same time bringing the classic sound of past generations into her songs.
