Today’s song is “Brass Tacks” by Not In The Face. Not In The Face started as a joke band in 2009, when singer/guitarist Jonathan Terrell and drummer Wes Cargal decided to perform hyperactive covers of classic R&B, Doo-Wop, and Rock ‘n’ Roll songs.
The joke ended when the formula was an unexpected hit. Since then, the band has supported acts like ZZ Top, Black Lips, Guitar Wolf, and toured nationally with iconic Los Angeles Punks X.
Not In The Face has been called a “tongue-in-cheek rock ’n’ roll bulldozer.” This is the title track off the band’s new EP that was released earlier this year.
The record was executive-produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, KISS) and produced by GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers) at The Farm Studios in Vancouver, BC.
They have an earth-shattering, turbo-charged rock that will blow your mind. Catch the band live on the west coast this summer (see dates below). The shows kicked off this past weekend in the band’s hometown of Austin, TX, and will wrap up on July 23rd in Dallas.
