Today’s song is “Santa Fe” by The Pear Traps. This song is off the Chicago based band’s newest Elwhere EP. The Elsewhere EP follows the band’s 2011 self-titled EP, which Delusions of Adequacy described as generating a “decidedly hypnotic atmosphere.” Chicago blog, Windy City Rock, also took notice and deemed it “Joy Division-goes-Americana.” This song has a hazy melodic sound that is laced with 1980’s lo-fi aesthetic that makes for some incredible catchy indie rock music.
