PK “Some Nights” Video

Recently, High-energy, scrappy indie-pop quintet, PK, premiered the music video for their single “Some Nights” on MTV Buzzworthy. When asked about the making of the video, lead singer, Travis Hawley, says, “We’d made some videos in the past that were very storyline driven and strayed from the performance aspect of our music. We wanted the ‘Some Nights’ video to focus primarily on performance and aesthetic. The director (Will Eubank) said he knew of a great studio in Hollywood. Apparently Marilyn Manson used to throw parties there in the 90’s and for some time after that it was a music venue. He sent over a few pictures that evoked this hazy, glowing European nostalgic feeling with it’s hanging Edison bulbs and stained and textured cement walls. We instantly knew it was perfect for the video.”

After releasing their first full length Into the Roaring, PK was immediately hand selected and published by Rolling Stone Magazine as 1 of 16 top unsigned artists in the United States. In the past year, the band has opened for such acts as Angels and Airwaves, Twin Atlantic, Aerosmith, Shiny Toy Guns and Youngblood Hawk and has garnered attention from the likes of Nylon Guys, Alternative Press, Pac Sun Music, RCRDLBL, Filter Magazine and Dianna Agron of GLEE’s blog, “You Me & Charlie.” PK recorded their new EP The Lost Boys Sessions at the famed Red Bull Studio in Los Angeles.
