Elevator Art Hosts Open Hearts Music and Arts Tent City Benefit Show August 12th


This Sunday, August 12th NJ band, Elevator Art will be hosting a benefit to raise funds and supplies (non perishables and winter supplies such as gloves, coats, and sleeping bags)for Tent City, a homeless village in Lakewood, NJ. The all ages show will take place at the Moose Lodge (1240 East Veterans Highway) in Jackson, NJ at 1pm and fill feature the following bands:

Chris Rockwell, Thomas Wesley Stern, Mad Feather Group, Paper Streets, Candace Schur, The Lights Beneath, No More Pain, Bog Iron Bloom, The Harding Family Band, and Jess & Greg

In addition to the music, there will art exhibited by Gregg Baustista, Mike Didia, Jenny Mustachio, Asha Arneth, Richard Falkiewicz, Courtney Stoddard, Ashley Werther, Alli Kolarik, Liz Hogan, Keryn Thompson, Adrienne Habert, Lauren Di Palma, and Geraldine Valecillos.

Vendors will include Jetty, Karma Cartel, Kaya’s Kitchen, Hippie Bling, Body paint by Krista Applegate, and Oracle card readings by Lauren Di Palma.

About Tent City: 2005 started out a few people homeless trying to find shelter. Now known as Tent City a makeshift village in the woods near Lakewood, New Jersey has approximately 70 people seeking shelter. Now six years later itпїЅs a battle to be able to call this place home for some. With eviction notices from the township on its doorstep. Tent city is in need of community support.
