Today’s song is “Rubicon” by UME. Hailing from Austin, Texas, Ume is Lauren Larson (Vocals, Guitar), Eric Larson (Bass), and Rachel Fuhrer (drums). This song is off the band’s full-length album, Phantoms released in August of 2011 by Modern Outsider Records. Ume has been described as “heavy rock and ethereal indie pop with deft precision, finding new ground somewhere in between Warpaint, Metric and Mogwai.” UME will be co-headlining a tour with Life and Times. The trek will begin in the band’s hometown on June 8th and wind down in Denver, Colorado on June 19th.
