Today’s song is “Prozac Rock” by Margot and The Nuclear So and So’s. This is the first single off their LP Rot Gut, Domestic which was produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Bill Callahan, The Walkmen). Earlier this month the band’s single “Shannon” was premiered as a free MP3 download on RCRD LBL which you can get here.
Margot will launch a lengthy North American headlining tour later this month, beginning on March 31st at the sold out CD101 Side A festival in Columbus, OH. The first leg of the tour heads eastward and wraps up on April 21st at The Masquerade (downstairs) in Atlanta, GA and includes an April 11th show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY. The second westward leg will begin on May 10th at the High Noon Saloon in Madison, WI and wrap up on June 2nd at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL, including a May 23rd performance at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, CA (see dates below).
