Today’s song is “When It’s Over” by Rejectioneers. The Columbia, SC indie band consists of former members from several prominent SC bands. Originally formed in 2007 the band took proper shape in 2009 and spent 2010 practicing and recording. They emerged to start playing shows again in 2011. The band has been working on their highly anticipated debut release, 25 which was meticulously recorded in pieces over the course of two years in guitarist Kenny McWilliams’ Archer Avenue studio. 25 blends power pop, 90’s alt rock and indie rock into one polished sound. Rejectioneers can be compared to Nada Surf, The Weakerthans, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, and Ben Walker. Their sound is emotionally shining. Rejectioneers have digitally released their debut EP, 25, which you can get now on their Bandcamp. They are in the process of writing their debut full-length this winter.
