Today’s song is “Delawanna” by D & M. This is the title track off the band’s highly anticipated EP which will be released on June 28th. Consisting of Danny Fornasa (lead vocals/guitar), Miles Mueller (percussion/b.g. vocals), and Matt Klahre (lead guitar), D & M was formed in 2009 at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
The band has an intriguing sound reminiscent of Damien Rice, John Mayer, and Mumford & Sons.
D & M is currently on tour (see dates below) in support of the EP and will be having a record release show next Tuesday, the 28th at NYC’s Mercury lounge. The “Every State of the Union Tour” is funded entirely by their fans. “We’re proud of what we recorded with Delawanna. We’ve moved beyond our influences and the sounds of our peers and defined D & M’s musical sound,” says Fornasa.
