Song of the Day: “Love and Crashing” by OAX

Today’s song is “Love and Crashing” by OAX. This song is off the band’s Distance EP. OAX is the result of a new musical venture by Giorgio Angelini. After taking some time off from heavy touring with Bishop Allen and The Rosebuds to enter graduate school in architecture at Rice Univeristy, Angelini found himself writing music again. The record was recorded by Giorgio Angelini in his home studio with the co-production help of Ivan Rosebud (The Rosebuds). The EP features guest performances by Jim Eno of Spoon and Chris Simpson (Mineral, Gloria Record).

Angelini is still in graduate school and has about a year left before he becomes a ‘master of architecture.’ In the meantime, he’s headed back to New York for the summer where he’ll be performing with a new group of musicians including Ben Trokan and Morgan King of Robbers on High Street (see dates below).
