New York City’s The Dig is confirmed to support Local H on 10 shows this month, beginning April 14th at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, MI, and wrapping up April 24th at the Rock and Roll Hotel in Washington, DC. Following those dates, the band will travel back westward to Chicago, IL, to support Oh No Oh My at The Empty Bottle on May 3rd and on to Denver, CO, to play with The Outfit at the Larimer Lounge on May 6th. Additionally, The Dig’s April 20th set at The Knitting Factory Brooklyn will be streamed live via the venue’s Livestream channel: www.livestream.com/theknitbrooklyn.
The band has proven to be tireless on the road, having toured repeatedly across the country and into Canada throughout the past 18 months. Since the fall of 2009, The Dig has played shows with artists including: The Walkmen, Editors, The Antlers, White Rabbits, Here We Go Magic, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, The Joy Formidable, Portugal. The Man, Thrice, Dashboard Confessional, and Henry Clay People.
The Dig’s debut album Electric Toys was produced by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Antony & the Johnsons, The Ramones, Bishop Allen) and released June 8th, 2010. Multiple album tracks have been featured on television shows or in promos, including: “For All Yours Sins” on The CW’s Gossip Girl; “You’re Already Gone” on MTV’s The Life and Times of RJ Berger; “Two Sisters In Love” on MTV’s The Buried Life; and “Look Inside” on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries.
