Today’s song is “Ablaze” by The Quiet Lights. This song was released this week by the Brooklyn quintet. This is the first song off their album The Big Fear. Recorded in June of ’10 and mixed with John Congleton (Clinic, The Walkmen), the song was released on October 19th. Their full album is set to be released early next year.
Quiet Lights formed in Brooklyn in 2009 through a shared love of finding beauty in layered sounds. They’re drawn to light and dark landscapes through glass-bottle hazes, blurry sonic envelopes, and small batch bourbon.
