Dawes will continue to showcase this Fall why they are considered one of America’s hardest-working and conistently-touring bands. Having recently performed at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN, Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, and supporting acts such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Band of Horses, She & Him and Josh Ritter on select dates, Dawes will be hitting the road as headliners throughout the Fall with supporting acts The Moondoggies, Peter Wolf Crier, Vetiver, Magic Mountain and The Romany Rye.
In addition to all of these upcoming shows, Dawes recently recorded a live session with the folks over at Yours Truly. Performing their heartfelt crowd favorite “When My Time Comes” as well as the track “If You Let Me Be Your Anchor” off their 2009 debut album North Hills, Dawes recorded a studio session with pals The Morning Benders. Listen below:
Dawes released their debut album, North Hills, at end of 2009, an album that garnered immediate critical praise. Rolling Stone Magazine online claimed they are “the roots-rock rookies of the year thanks to their note-perfect take on the warm, folksy Laurel Canyon sound.” Paste Magazine agreed, naming them one of their “Best of What’s Next” artists and praising their “stripped-down, dusty-hands country sound.” Daytrotter’s Sean Moeller even declared North Hills “hands down one of the finest records of 2009” and called Dawes “a perfect band.” Dawes has been touring nonstop since the release of North Hills, perfecting their live show and developing a devoted fanbase across the country as a result.
