Today’s song is “Hello, Cello” by Metric Gnomes. Metric Gnomes hails from New Brunswick, NJ and one of the members is ESBMusic’s own Aryeh Carni. The Metric Gnomes have a unique sound that combines elements of improvisational jazz, early classical music with driving dance rock. After a year of writing songs and rocking the basements of New Brunswick, the Gnomes decided to get serious and record an album. Working with local producer/wunderkind, Ralph Nicastro, the Gnomes assembled five tracks. After months of hard work, Metric Gnomes have finally dropped their debut EP, Quit When I Was Five, free of charge! The Gnomes are now preparing their next batch of music for live performances, which will hopefully come in abundance. Look out for the album release party at the end of August, and gigs all over the New Brunswick/NYC area over the next few months.
