Nothing Shows the new EP from Keegan DeWitt

Keegan DeWitt grew up in Oregon and currently splits time between Brooklyn and Nashville; these drastic differences in scenery appear in the range of his musical talents. In only seven songs Nothing Shows captures the southern sound of someone who spent his life in a one horse town in nowhere Mississippi with songs like “More of You”. Yet at the same time DeWitt can put the listener in the all too cool coffeehouse in songs like “They Ain’t the Same” which seems more appropriate being played at a Starbucks rather than a Waffle House. Finally his time in New York becomes obvious in “Heart Beats Loud” which calm lyrics lay so nicely over a faster paced rhythm, just like the greatest city in the world. Nothing Shows comes off as less of an album and more a movie soundtrack for a screenplay that has yet to be written. The album has a story in it that can only be conveyed once the entire EP has been listened to and enjoyed. Keegan DeWitt may not be a newcomer to music, but his sound is undeniably original and leaves him a very high ceiling for success with his future endeavors.
