Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants will embark on their first headlining tour this Saturday, July 31st, at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis, MN. The band – featuring Foo Fighter lead guitarist Shiflett (vocals, guitar), Jeff Gross (bass), Eric Skodis (drums), Derek Silverman (keyboards), and Marty Rifkin (pedal steel) – will travel throughout parts of the Midwest, Southeast, Canada, and Northwest on a whirlwind two-week run before wrapping up August 14th at the Mercury Lounge in New York, NY. Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants also recently completed a three-week Wednesday-night residency at the Hotel Café in Los Angeles, CA, in addition to a short west coast tour in support of Jesse Malin and the St. Marks Social in early June.
The album – borne out of Shiflett’s love for classic country artists (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings), rockabilly (Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran), and deep-rooted rock bands (The Rolling Stones, The Replacements).
