Today a premiere of “Get Along,” the first MP3 off of the self-titled debut album from Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants, is available exclusively on Filtermagazine.com. The album – a new project from Foo Fighter Chris Shiflett that’s chocked full of soulful pedal steel and twang guitar-accented songs – will be released July 13th, 2010 on Le Coq Napoleon/RCA.
Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants are currently in the middle of a week-long tour with Jesse Malin and the St. Marks Social. The tour, which began last Friday in Portland, OR, will wrap up on Saturday at Hensley’s Flying Elephant Pub in Carlsbad, CA.
